Weekly Post Challenge: Lunch Posts

The best part of a sunset, for me, is the golden-yellow glow as the sun fades behind the trees. It dips lower and lower, turning from golden to deep orange, being pressed on from above as the blackish blue of darkness forces the last bit of sunset out of the sky. As the light disappears it silhouettes the trees in all black, making them appear bare like skeletons as the dark blue of a cold winter night creeps through the glimmering dusk. I watch, sadly, as all the colors blend to the same amount of black, but I know I’ll get to see them dance again tomorrow.
